On-Site Phlebotomy (Lab Draw) Services

Skip the extra trip. When labs are ordered as part of your care plan, we can often collect your sample on-site and help coordinate the next steps.

About This Service

Our on-site phlebotomy service provides specimen collection (blood draw and, when applicable, specimen kit support) to help make lab testing simpler and more consistent.

Best for:

  • Patients who want fewer errands and smoother follow-through

  • People who prefer a calm, private clinic setting for a blood draw

  • Anyone doing repeat labs where timing/consistency matters

1) Check-in + quick review
We confirm your lab order(s), identity, and any prep requirements (like fasting).

2) Safe, standard blood draw process
We follow standard precautions for blood/body fluid exposure (PPE such as gloves as appropriate, and safe handling/disposal practices).

We also follow core hygiene practices—hand hygiene before/after gloves and between patients.

3) Labeling + coordination
Your specimens are labeled and prepared for the appropriate lab process (based on your order and workflow).

Note: Turnaround time for results depends on the lab and the specific tests ordered.

What to Expect

Preparing For Blood Draw
Blood Sample Analysis

Preparation varies by test. If you’re unsure, contact the ordering provider.

Common prep items include:

  • Fasting when required: Many tests require 8–12 hours of fasting; fasting generally means no food or drink except water.

  • Hydrate: Water is typically allowed even when fasting and can make draws easier.

  • Medication guidance: Don’t stop prescription meds unless your ordering provider instructs you to; some lab prep pages emphasize discussing meds/supplements ahead of time.

Bring if you have it:

  • Your lab order / requisition (if not already on file)

  • A list of current medications/supplements (optional but helpful)

How To Prepare

Comfort + Safety

We prioritize both patient comfort and clean technique. Blood draws are done using established best practices, including appropriate site cleansing and careful handling of supplies.

If you tend to feel lightheaded with blood draws, tell us—we’ll adjust positioning and pacing.

FAQ's

Do I need to fast?
Only if your ordered tests require it. When fasting is required, it typically means water only for the instructed window (often 8–12 hours).

What if I accidentally ate before a fasting test?
Let us know. In many cases, you should contact the ordering provider to confirm whether to proceed or reschedule.

Is this the same as a medical visit?
No—phlebotomy is a specimen collection service. Interpretation and medical decision-making are handled by the ordering provider.
